There is a series of commercials that are quite amusing in which a banker encounters a customer in some setting and asks about a loan that the customer needs.

The punch line is that the banker is going to have to compete for the customer's business through an online environment. In some of the commercials, the banker is unnerved because the customer is a relative or even works for the bank.

They are cute commercials and they bring home a good point for all of us to think about.

Whether you use the service that those commercials advertise or not, the fact is that as has happened in many other industries, the internet has changed everything in terms of how people seek credit and get financing for the important purchases of their lives.

So if you are approaching such a purchase and it is time for you to research your financing options, before you go to your tried and true providers, maybe you should look to your laptop to see what it can do for you.
